Assorted dippers (toasted baguette slices, crunchy fresh vegetables, or an assortment of crackers)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese with the lemon zest. Season with a pinch of sea salt. Using a spatula or spoon, mix the ingredients until they achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
Transfer the ricotta mixture into a small, oven-safe dish, spreading it out evenly to create a flat layer.
In another bowl, combine the honey, red pepper flakes, and olive oil. Stir well until all the ingredients are blended together into a smooth mixture.
Pour the hot honey mixture gently over the ricotta layer in the dish, ensuring that it covers the surface evenly.
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on it until the edges are bubbly and the top develops a golden hue.
Remove the dip from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. For an extra touch of sweetness, drizzle a little more honey on top if desired.
Before serving, sprinkle freshly cracked black pepper and a hint more sea salt for seasoning.
